My recent job at the office now are: How to make Tour & Travel unit owned by the company could “linked” with the company?

I’ll explain it : This unit was built a year ago with separated management form the company. After a year operation, the unit already work. It has improved asset, more employee, more services, etc which manage by itself. And The financial also separated from the companies financial. And at a closer look, we knew that the accounting system also not “qualified” yet. So, my job are to create a system that support this unit and “link” the unit to company, at least from the financial side.

The 1st plan is to redesign the Business Process and make a standard accounting for the company. But I still looking for alternative of methode to solve the problem in the best way. While I do the Business Process Reengineering, any suggestion?

“What kind of person am I?”

Do we ever think about it? I bet some people have been think about it already, well not everyone would think about it. It’s natural. Infact, it’s also related with what personality the person is. Florence Litttaeur in her book Personality Plus explained about 4 type of personality.

According to Littaeur, people are classified into 4 type of personality already since 2400 years ago by Hippocrates. Personality is our base nature. Supposing it was a statue, the sculptor could make 2 similar shape of statue but he couldn’t make 2 similar statues. Why? because the statues made of 2 different stones. The STONEs are the personality. Personality is what we are when we born and after that : parents, religion, environment, education, teacher, schools, work, family, friends, ourselves, etc are the one who chiseling our stone into a statue, who make our characters.

The classification are:

1. The Popular Sanguine

Ekstrovert, open, warm, spontaneous, talkative, moody, & optimistic are the sanguine It’s make them an open hearted person, love interacting with others and play the role of the entertainer in group interactions. But they have tendency to over promise and under-deliever. That,s their weaknesses. “Don’t trust a sanguin promises” or “don’t ask a sanguin to do the job” are phrases people told about sanguine.

2. The Perfect Melancholic

Introvert, perfectionist, and planner are the melancholic.When people talk, the melancholic will quit, observe, and analyze the situation. They are hard to please, usually because of their high standard over things. List and “doing thing in the right way” are the characteristic.

3. The Strong Choleric

A leader, focussed on getting things done, but can run rough-shod over others. They are decisive and stubborn. People will realize there is a bossy person near a choleric person.

4. The peaceful Phlegmatic

Neutral, mediator, and good to solve a problem so that there will be no conflict among people. They tend to not to actively upset people, but their indifference may frustate people. They try not to make decisions, and tend to wait until the last moment.

But, this is just one way in knowing your personality. There is more way than this. Carl Jung classified personality into 16 types. The classification is combination of:

1. Ektrovert (E) - Introvert (I)

2. Sensing (S) - iNtuition (N)

3. Thinking (T) – Feeling (F)

4. Judging (J) - Perceiving (P)

 

And for the combination there are 16 distinct personality types, each belonging to one of four temperaments as organized by David Keirsey.

Based on those two way personality test, my personality is The peaceful Phlegmatic and INTJ – The Strategist. Well I think the more parameter to identify the more precise the classification is.

Well, all of that is just a classification, we are what we want to be that’s the important thing for me. But when you don’t sure what your personality is? Try to take the test. I bet it will open up your knowledge, at least.
